Malachi: 3:3 - “And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver”.
There was a video that I saw some time back about the silversmith that touched me and reassured me that God is always with me in every area of my life. And there’s nothing that comes into my life without His approval because He watches over me constantly and battles out everything for me.
A lady went to the silversmith to ask him few questions of how he refines silver. And he replied, “He would sit and watch the furnace constantly, if the time necessary for the refining is exceeded in the slightest degree, the silver will be injured”. At this point the lady understood Malachi: 3:3 -“He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver”.
When she was about to leave she asked the silversmith, “How does he know that the work is finished”. He answered, “It’s simple. When I can see my own image in the silver, the refining process is complete”.
The Lord watches over us when we go through difficult times and He wouldn’t let us stay there for a long time. He would not let us go through more that we can handle. During that difficult time His love takes complete control of us assuring that we have a Father who listens to us, calms us down and rescues us from all that we go through. His love, mercies and grace help us to get through what seems to be the toughest in our lives. His word is a mighty “two edged sword” which gives us power to stand strong, His word is a comfort to our soul during difficult times, His word is a praise in our hearts for His amazing victories in our life and His word is a prayer in our lips when we can't find the words to speak with Him.
When we are made complete in Jesus, we will see Christ being reflected in us. The fiery paths, broken roads and tempest storms in our lives make us to completely put our trust in Jesus and rest in His presence knowing that He’s fighting for us. By being complete in Him is inheriting qualities of Jesus Christ in our lives. Every battle that we faced in our lives refined us and purified us and at the end the perseverance, patience and peace during the storms in our lives paved way for great victories. When we reflect Christ is our lives, the others around us see that there’s a God who will help them, love them and strengthen them. We are called to help one another and reflecting Jesus in our lives is the greatest help we can give for others who are in need.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank for being our refiner and purifier. Lord, we need Your presence in our lives leading us through every uncertain situations. Lord, pour Your tender mercies and grace on us. Be our redeemer, healer and lover. We love you. In Jesus Christ name. Amen.
God bless you.
