Have we been captivated by His glory
Or by something other than the gospel story?
Is it the things of this world that occupy our minds
Or about things above that we opine?

Jesus Christ is the lamb of light
Revealed through His Word and by His might
The beauty of the heavens and earth declare
The power of God beyond compare

The name of the Lord is magnified further
By the rescue of souls unconverted
It is for the love of God we stand witness
Compelled by His passion for our forgiveness

Lord, increase our faith and consume our minds
So the message will spread far and wide
May we be encouraged to run a great race
To the praise of the glory of His grace

So what is it you are captivated by
The approval of men or the light of life?
Let us find our validation in the work of Christ
Not in our number of "Facebook" likes

And if you are taken by anything other
Repent of your sin today and offer
Your life unto Him dedicated and true
A living sacrifice because He first loved you
