Guided Into All Truth

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.” John 16:13-14 NIV)

Herein Jesus speaks of the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send to all believers.

Note firstly, that which the Holy Spirit will make known to the believer is received by the Holy Spirit from Jesus Christ Himself. We are assured that what we learn through the Holy Spirit comes directly from our Lord and Savior. So, see, our Lord and Savior has not left us. He is with us, and we receive His teaching. This is a promise from our Lord.

Secondly, notice also that we will be guided into all truth. We do not need to worry if we have missed some of the teaching of our Lord, which we are to share with others. He promises us that we will be guided into ALL TRUTH. What a blessing this is to know that we have all the truth about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are fully equipped to share about our Lord.

Thirdly, the Holy Spirit will glorify our Lord through letting the believer know all that the Lord wants us to know. It is wonderful that our Lord is glorified through all the Holy Spirit does.

Finally, the Holy Spirit will teach us what is to come. We will be taught about that which has not yet occurred.

This is all accomplished through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within the believer. We give our all to our Lord for the advancement of the kingdom of God. We are the Lord’s workers, toiling for Him on the harvest. Many lost souls are out there. These souls need the redemption provided by our Lord.

Let us faithfully serve our Lord.
