Don’t envy the bubbles in someone else’s champagne. Savor the sugar in your own Kool-Aid instead.
Never get jealous about the appearance of another person’s delicious cup, because it may not be so delicious after all. The enemy’s champagne bubbles may be about to burst. The cream in the neighbor’s coffee might have curdled. The boss’s water may be contaminated with wrath. Fiery coals may be the mixed drink of the champions. You don’t know if another person’s cup is tastier than yours is just by peering at it, and you can't have it even if it is. Learn to enjoy the unique taste of your portion. Thank the Lord for what He gave you. Do not covet, and do not question why the Lord set up one person and did not set up another.
