Heaven isn’t hiring, and God isn’t retiring. Therefore, don’t try to do His job.
The Lord said that vengeance was His. He said the He would repay evil (Deuteronomy 32:35, Luke 18:7-9). His promises are much better than the finest gold or the brightest diamond. He is faithful in every way. Therefore, He will balance injustices; He will punish the wicked, and He will humble the fools.
Never take it upon yourself to seek personal vengeance or punish another person for a sin. That is God’s job, and He will work with that person accordingly. Drinking the cup of personal vengeance is like drinking a cup of poison. It never quenches your thirst. In fact, it burns a large hole in your soul and darkens your spirit. You end up losing years, time, and grace. God may very well stop being mad at the offender just because of the wicked route you took (Proverbs 24:17-18). You may become the fallen one who needs to repent instead of the loving and kind person who fell victim to someone else’s evil works.
Let God be God. Those who return evil for good will have to answer for it eventually. Don’t stoop to that level because you will only harm yourself.
When someone does evil to you, pray for God to have mercy on that soul. Do not try to punish that person or those people personally. The angel of the Lord will handle that (Psalm 35:5 KJV), but that should not be your sole desire. Your desire should be for Jesus to visit the offender(s) with the same robe of righteousness that He loaned you.
