How Politics Works In a Nutshell

I once heard a speaker who wasn't too fond of most politicians describe politics this way:

It's a word consisting of two parts.  

"Poly" which comes from the Greek meaning many and "tics" which are blood sucking insects.

 Well, there are some in Washington D. C. who seem to fit this description metaphorically speaking wouldn't you agree?

Politicians are kind of like blood sucking insects who get under your skin.  They're thirsty for your blood because they seek to empower themselves at your expense.  

How?

Why ofcourse through massive legislation and taxation.

A British politician once said:

“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy." 

Bingo buddy!

Major corporations, including many churches and all too many in Washington D. C. (District of Criminals) include such people.

Look around in the news media or in your local town and you'll surely find a politician making a loud sucking sound.

Don't worry.  It's just your blood (aka MONEY) they're after.

Perhaps the best example of politics can be described in the following.


I told my son, "I want you to marry the girl of my choice."

He said, "No."

I told him it's Bill Gates daughter.

 He said, "Okay."

I got in contact with Bill Gates and told him,

"I want your daughter to marry my son."

He said, "No."

I told him my son was the CEO of the World Bank.

He said, "Okay."

I went to the President of the World Bank and told him to make my son CEO of the Bank.

He said, "No."

I told him my son was Bill Gates son-in-law.

He said, "Okay."

And that, folks, is exactly how politics works.
