In my need...I come to You...today.
In my need...I come to You...ALWAY!
To see if WE might find...a way
Out of THIS valley;
Away from THIS night;
Escape from THESE shadows;
Step...into...YOUR Light?

And...in my need...I reach for You...Your hand...
To feel YOUR support...when I'm too weak to stand.
And to see...if WE can find a way...(I KNOW WE can)
When burdens overwhelm me;
And strength is all gone;
When I feel abandoned...
Forsaken...alone.

So...in my need...I come to You...again!
And FOR my need...I ask Your help.....again!
As turmoil GOVERNS!
Confusion....rampant with threat!
YOU are unfailing.....
Each need You have met.

New needs are mine...to bring before Your throne.
Bewildered, heartsick...I, MY lot...bemoan.
With EVERY need....there's no place BUT Your Throne.

Lord, such a needing creature...though I be;
You paint the autumn leaves....You'll tend to me.
It's not my wish to impose upon Your time,
But through it all...and to the end of MY time
In my need...I will come to You.
