Man Of God, After Your Greatest Victory

I Kings 19:1-14

Man of God after some of your greatest victories, the Devil meet you face to face.

After you have prayed, praised, and preached, saved, delivered, and set people free from sin, he’s there. He’s there to steal your testimony, your witness, which is in Christ Jesus. Surely it’s not about you, because you are only a vessel God uses. The Devil wants to steal your anointing. He hates God and he hates you because you love God.

Sometime, we being men and women of God, we don’t take time to see the viciousness of the enemy.

In our text, Elijah had to run, he fled for his life. Elijah saw the Devil. The Devil made a plot against his life. The Devil always wants to take you out if you are effectively doing the will of God and living the Gospel that you preach. You are a direct threat to his kingdom, which he is enlarging everyday.

You know the story of how Elijah slew the Prophets of Baal. The people had just proclaimed that the Lord he is God in I Kings 17:39. Elijah had ministered God to the people, he had proven that his God is God of all, had denounced the Devil and tore down his Kingdom.

Realize,
How many people truth had come too?
How many had been bound, now set free.

Satan was mad. He got into a woman named Jezebel, whom he so dearly possessed. That spirit still lives today and he is still using this spirit to possess and destroy the men of God today.

After your greatest victory, God has used you mightily, the spirit is still willing but the flesh is depleted and weak, however still very much alive and needing attention. The spirit has worn the flesh out and the flesh yearns for satisfaction, it needs to be fulfilled, that’s why the flesh must die.

No doubt Jezebel had decided she would turn Elijah on one way or the other and she would kill him afterward. She had just seen her stock for her business drop near zero. The Prophets of Baal were her customers. They weren’t men of God, but yet they called themselves Prophets. A Holy name, but applied to Devil Worship. The Devil doesn’t care who he uses. He will use you if you let him.

After your greatest victory, you’re tired, hungry, sometime hurting. All of your virtue is gone out of you. All fluids are depleted from your body. Yes, your body is in a state of want as I previously stated.

Here Elijah is faced with all of this and Jezebel saw her opportunity. As she knew he would be too weak to fight. Jezebel, a Phoenician princess, married King Ahab and caused him to sin, she was a tyrant who corrupted her husband, and the nation with pagan idolatry. She worshipped Baal, supported 850 Prophets of Baal and was zealous in what she did. She wanted to kill anyone and everything associated with God. She was the enemy of God, and Elijah was scared of her. A Great Prophet and a little woman, but he was scared.

It wasn’t her that he was scared of, but the spirit she possessed that had already encompassed a whole nation. Jezebel was a whore. She was a woman that the Devil used to suck the very essence of God, his anointing out of the life of God’s men. That spirit is alive today.

Jezebel can be male or female.

What’s sucking the life out of you? Some people is being tucked out of the church because the issues they don’t want hear about and need to hear, is being drowned out by closed ears to the word. Well if you aren’t listening to God, then the Devil has your attention.

Once he gets your attention he is in for the steal.

And before you know it you have been forced to do something you don’t want to do. You have been raped while you are yet saying no. it’s a minute to late, because you let him in and you suffer the consequences of that moment. You can’t tell no one, because you are shame. Shame says I did wrong, guilt says I am wrong and guess what, he has raped you and caused you much loss.

You have been raped out of your rightful place because of what God wants to do in the church and in you, and how he wants to do it. He is raping the minds and hearts of the people and causing them to get out of position, thereby hindering the progress of God.

However God’s progress won’t be hindered, but death will come to them that yield and allow themselves to be used by Satan. It is a critical time now and God will destroy anything that will hinder the walk of his anointed. This is a time of deliverance and restoration.

It’s time we take down from position and get our minds right and lose our mind to God. The prayer is not going forth, the flow of God is cut short because of the drifting minds. They don’t love me like they should because they aren’t reading my word. They have lost their delight to study, to pray, to spend time with me. Everything else in their lives comes before me.

The Devil is running rampant because they are communing more with him, than me.
They are yielding themselves to the flesh more, more television than ever before.
What they see and hear corrupts the minds. This is what they are allowing in their spirits.
The put on more programs in the church that takes them further away from me than anything.
They give grudgingly; they put me last in their giving.

I will be last in nothing. If they have enough to bring their tithe, they bring it. Otherwise it doesn’t come. They give the substance that I’ve blessed them with to other things, clothes, children, unnecessary things.

The children of God have returned to EGYPT, and no longer desire to be free. Their desire is for all the wrong things. A husband, a wife, more money.

God has done more for his children, than ever before and what do they do; They Slap Him In His Face.

Man of God after your greatest accomplishment, greatest victory, greatest deliverance, greatest praise, all of your greatest victories, you will sometime find yourself raped.

Raped of your integrity.
Raped of your virtuality, you don’t feel ready for use at a moments notice, you feel unclean
Raped of your anointing, you can’t feel God anymore. Your joy, your peace is gone.

We need to be worthy – he steals our worthiness.

It’s going to take the Gospel, the word that came down from heaven to earth to take you back up to heaven.

For once in your life, why don’t you try piggy backing the truth of the word.

You’ve tried and trusted everything else, now try God. It’s in his presence you will find fullness of joy.

The Devil wants to rape you or steal from you everything you’ve got. You’ve lived for the Devil long enough. Now try God and see what he will do for you.

All you can say is:
Help me, teach me, lead me, save me, cleanse me and he will come to your rescue and give you an answer just like he gave Elijah
