Stand On The Word

Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I pleas, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Matthews 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away

Lift up your eyes to the heavens and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner; but my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

God promises us that he will be here forever, that he will be our God and will come to us. He promises us heaven on earth if we live for him. He promises us peace, love, joy and longsuffering if we keep his words.
All of God’s promises are conditional and when we meet all the conditions set forth, then and only then can we come into his grace and be blessed. Then we can stand on his word.

He said hearken unto him, all of us that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law.
We are his people – we don’t have to fear the reproach of men neither be afraid of their reveling. He wants us to awake and put on some strength. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, for God has already told us in Mark 13:31, heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass away.

In Isaiah 40:8
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever

We are free in God. We can enjoy God’s freedom in our lives. He is the only being in the universe that possesses independence from the creation and the only limits to God’s freedom are in his own nature and attributes. He is unlimited in his existence because his existence relates to his nature rather than his will, God will exist forever because he don’t exist by volition, but by reason of his nature.
