GOD'S CHURCH CONSTITUTION AND BY LAWS

Once, when I held the position of "Elder" in our little church, the governing powers decided to draft a more modern church "Constitution and Bylaws". I made one suggestion. Let's just draft the documents along the lines of the first New Testament church. My idea was instantly struck down. So here's a model church Constitution, based in part on the first church described in the book of Acts.

PURPOSE

The  purpose of this church is  salvation of the lost souls;  the edification of the believers, through the teaching of God's Holy Word; the world wide proclamation of the gospel as expressed in the shed blood and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary's Cross; the promotion of Godly worship; the defense of the "Faith Once Delivered
