As a man thinks---- A devotion I give to the prison inmates that graduate from the program

Congratulations men on this graduation. This is a testement to your deligence, and work ethic. Keep it up, and your life will show to others, that we can make a change when we want a change.

Proverbs 23:7a "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he........." Our minds can be a place of victory, or a place of defeat. Our hearts and our minds must be in complete agreement, for there to be victory. The average distance from the mind to the heart is 18 inches, (unless you have a long neck). Some will miss Heaven by 18"- haaa. Truly something to think about.

Romans 8:6 "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."

When the Lord saves a man, He also changes the mind. The mind is a powerful tool, and will help us reach up, and grow in God. When a man does not ask Christ in his life, then his mind will stay carnal. A carnal mind, (fleshly mind, sinful mind), is a mind in a dangerous place. A carnal mind is death. No place for victory.

Here is a formula I want to share with you; Think = See = Be.

As a man thinks is the way a man see's, and as a man see's, is the way a man will be. A spiritual mind is life and peace. I encourage you to choose God, as your life long partner, and you'll have a good life and peace.
