On the Mountain

While praying on a mountain one day in Tennessee -
Kneeling by a tree stump the Holy Ghost impressed me;

I heard the Spirit say to me as clear as a bell rings -
Son be faithful in the little things;

Well over the years thru all the ups and downs -
I've learned when we obey, our faith grows by leaps and bounds;

I know when things get out of hand and we get a little off line -
And we look more at the big things, that we find ourselves in a bind;

The big things may be more easily seen
But it's the little things that got you there -
For it's in the missing of the little things
That get us in Satan's snare;

So if there's any advice I'd like to share
In a few words it would be this -
Be faithful in the little things
And God's will we will not miss.
