"When we look back what do we see -
Success and failure were both found in me;
I knew without doubt when I did it right -
And I knew the same when I left the light;
Everyday gave me an opportunity to shine -
And I did, when I walked the line;
When I took God's word and made it mine -
I could then help others who were spiritually blind;
But when I took off on my own -
Then I was empty and dry as a bone;
I remember times of refreshing from the Lord -
Life was exciting and I never got bored;
I remember the times I knelt in prayer -
It didn't take long for the Lord to be there;
Can you look back on your life and see -
If it wasn't for God where would you be;
This year has ended and it's days are through -
There remains nothing more that we can do;
So let us step out in faith, without one doubt at all -
Knowing if we trust in the Lord, by His grace we'll not fall;
Keep looking up for the Lord to see -
He's promised He's coming back for you and me;
This year is a door, when we open there's more -
Than we could even imagine or think;
Happy New Year to you, may your tears be few -
And may the joy of the Lord be in all that you do."
