Rejoice in Hope

Rom 12:12
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

The Word of God says Christ in you, the hope of glory and are admonished to be rejoicing in this hope that is in you.

The word hope is described as;
- The belief or expectation that something wished for can happen or will happen.
- The actual thing wished for.
- A person or thing that is a source of hope.
- The virtuous desire for future good.

Furthermore hope is;
- To want something to happen, with a sense of expectation that it might.
- To be optimistic; be full of hope; have hopes.
- To place confidence;
- To trust with confident expectation of good.

And the word Rejoicing or to rejoice is;
- To be very happy, be delighted, exult; to feel joy.
- To make happy, exhilarate.
- To enjoy.

In other words Rejoice in hope is to be very happy or delighted in a person ...Jesus your source of hope and to enjoy Him. It is to make happy your virtuous desire for your future good.

What is that hope?
Looking for the blessed hope, the appearing of our Lord and Saviour Jesus who is preparing a place for us that where He is we will be there also with Him in glory where your name is written.

....rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Lk 10:20

This sure hope we have as an anchor of our soul which is sure and steadfast ...unmovable and unshakable.

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Rom 5:2

Our faith is the substance hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. That breakthrough in whatever area you are looking for be optimistic and start enjoying or rejoicing that Jesus is working out the answer irrespective of the present circumstances.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Mt 5:12

Jesus said in this world we will have challenges but be of good cheer ...rejoice in hope

Rejoicing ...chairo..gk, meaning ..to be calmly happy or well-off, ...be well, ...be glad, ...joyful, ...rejoice, in every situation because you know the King of Peace is on the throne reigning in the affairs of men.

Therefore beloved rejoice in hope ...elpis.. or ...elpizo..gk, meaning ...to expect, ...confide, ...trust, ...confidence, ...faith, that He is faithful to His Word of promise.

The hope in you is in the Word, the more we abide in the Word the more we have hope. To delight in it day and night.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Php 4:4

When the storm arise ...have faith in God, give yourself to prayer and the Word for His grace is sufficient to anchor you through the storm.

Jesus did not say the storm would not come but when it arises He will see us through.

In other words He is cautioning us to expect the storm to arise against you but be of good cheer. Rejoice in hope. Be expectant that after the storm, there is victory.

Switch on the light of your expectation with enjoyment in the spirit.
It is to make yourself happy out of the wells of salvation and increase the power of Christ in you. When your faith is tested, stay true to your purpose and rejoice in hope which is one of the virtues that will abide or stay forever.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1 Cor 13:13

Knowing faith which changes things is for the now, hope is for tomorow and love is for all time. Exercise your faith now and rejoice in hope for the victory.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Rom 15:13
