Acts of Kindness

2 Peter 1:7
and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly
kindness; Love.

Love and kindness, caring and compassion...what
beautiful words. But just words if never acted upon.
With the evil and darkness that surrounds us all today,
it's very hard to find that love and compassion, but
there are loving and caring people out there, even
though few and far between.

That love and caring and giving, kindness and compassion
come so natural to some. To some they know no other
way to be. I know one such couple. They know no other
way than to give and show kindness and love...caring for
everyone and always there to lend a hand to anyone in need.
I remember several years ago, my husband and I was
struggling with finances once again. We were working hard
everyday and doing everything we could to make ends meet.
We prayed and prayed and ask God to show us what to do.
Well that day I was checking our bank account once again
just praying for some wonderful miracle to be there. Enough
money to pay these bills. And sure enough, there it was almost
like super naturally appeared. I was so happy, but very puzzled
as to how and who put it there. Well, it was them, and we had
said nothing to anyone about our problem. What a wonderful
Blessing from God. We were to never know it came from them.
But I know that God laid it on their hearts to send it. Precious,
Precious Friends...Love them so. She has gone home to be
with the Lord, but he continues to help others everyday. Such
a loving and giving person, I ask God to pour out His Blessings
over him everyday...Amen!

Proverbs 19:17
He who is kind to the poor lend to the Lord, and he will reward
him for what he has done.

I remember another act of kindness from a stranger. A few weeks
ago my sister, mom and I were shopping and decided since it was
past lunch time, we would just pick up some sandwiches at a drive
thru and take them to my neices house there in town and eat there.
So we drove through and ordered, drove on around to pay and
noticed we were short one drink. So I told the gal at the window,
"I thought we ordered 2 drinks, but we only got one, so could we
please get another and how much do you need"? With a big smile,
she said, "I don't want any money, I have taken care of it for you".
Wow, what a sweet sweet thing to do...we thanked her and told
her "God Bless You", Honey for your kindness. And we went on
our way. Just a simple drink from a stranger, but given with such
kindness. Such a Blessing to us and special favor from the Lord.

Ephesians 4:32
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other,
just as in Christ, forgave you.

I love helping people and caring for someone in need. I want to
make things easier for them. Give them a little happiness even if
only for a moment. You never know what trial or heartache a person
might be going through when you see someone unhappy or angry.
You just never know, so just even a small jesture or act of kindness,
such as a sweet hello or a sweet smile, or holding a door open can
help to lift them up. I strive very hard everyday to be loving and caring
to others just like Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:15 says;
make sure nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be
kind to each other and to everyone else.

A while ago, I was contacted by a very sweet friend of mine, whom
I had not talked to for several years. Her and I have been friends
for a long time but had drifted apart and lost track until one day on
Facebook, we connected again. It's been great being together again.
She came to the house one afternoon and we began to talk about the
Lord and all He has done for me and my family. How He has changed
my life so much. She began to ask me questions, wanting to know
just how to make sure she will go to Heaven when the Good Lord calls
her home. She had told me that she has always tried to be good and
kind to everyone and to help others in need. So she said that is how
she would get to Heaven. But I told her, there is more than just being
good and kind. I told her she has to accept the Lord Jesus into her
heart and to ask for forgivness of her sins. I ask her if she had ever
done that. She told me no but she wanted to right now. So we Prayed
the Salvation Prayer together right there sitting in my living room.
Praise God...One More For Jesus...Thank you Father...Amen!

So we taked some more and she told me she had lost her mom
several years ago and just came across a bunch of her mom's
poems and songs she had written. She wanted so much to do some
thing with them so that they might be a blessing to others. She
wondered if there was anything I might be able to do with them.
I told her I would seek the Lord for a answer and let her know.
Well a few days later the Good Lord told me to put them in a book.
So I began typing them, and I put together the first volume for her.
She was thrilled and it meant so much to her to have them altogether.
I told we are still working on the songs and will try and sing and record
them onto a CD for her. This has made her so happy and I am so
happy to be able to help her out. Just to see her smile, makes it all
worth while. I Thank Sweet Jesus for choosing me and helping me
to put it altogether. I do know she has more to come and I am looking
forward to putting them in another book for her.

Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness,
Goodness, Faithfulness,

Be kind to someone today, ask the Good Lord, "What can I do today
to help someone"? Show an Act of Kindness to Someone Today!
