2 Corinthians 9:7
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful
giver.

Yes, what a wonderful feeling to give someone something, big
or small that fullfills a need they have. Just to see that smile on
their face. I often ask myself though, would I still give something
to someone even if they would never know it came from me?
Have you ever wondered that about yourself? Because the
world won't see it, but God does.

I remember a long time ago, my husband and I was going
through some hard times financially and I was praying and asking
God for some help and guidance. It seemed that each day that
passed, it got harder and harder to get things paid. Well it was
coming down to the wire on paying this bill and what should
arrive in the mail that day...a one hundred dollar bill, exactly
enough to pay that bill. No name or anything on the envelope
to indicate who sent it, and to this day I still do not know who
that sweet angel is. But I know that I prayed God would bless
them greatly. Because what a wonderful blessing it was for us.

Acts 20:35
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work,
we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus
himself said; "It is more blessed to give than to recieve".

I Pray and seek the Lord everyday and I ask Him, if there is some-
one I can help today, something that I can give to help make their
life easier. I remember one day when I worked at retail, I was
working the register and this mom and two little boys came to the
check out. As I rang up their purchases, I just had a sense that
they didn't have much money. But they were purchasing food
items. I felt very sorry for them and thought, what can I do to help
them? Well I rang up their items, I told her how much and I could
tell she didn't have enough. So she said , "I'm sorry, I will have to
put something back, I don't have enough money". I asked her how
much she had. She was a few dollars short. So I reached in my
pocket and I paid the extra she needed. Tears came immediatley
to her eyes, and those two little boys had the biggest smiles I
had ever seen. She could not thank me enough. I told I was so
happy I could help her, because I had been there myself a time
or two. They all three gave me a big hug and went out he door
with big smiles. God Bless them. What a wonderful day I had.

I remember one other time, my sister and I were in the grocery
store standing in the check out line waiting. Right behind us there
was a gal with just two items and as they got ready to ring us up,
my sister told the cashier to add on her two items to ours and not
say anything. As we were picking up our bags to go, the cashier
told the gal it was already paid for and she knew it was us who
paid it. She was so grateful. What a blessing to help someone in
need.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down,
shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.
For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

My sister and I, along with some wonderful friends and family
have been putting on a "New Year's Eve Gospel Sing", with
music, food, fun and fellowship. Last year 2014, was our 6th
one and we have been so blessed to see it increase every year.
We give all the Praise and Glory to the Lord. We pray that it
will open hearts of the lost to receive the Lord Jesus. To bring
peace and comfort to all that come. Well, every year we have a
door prize and several small drawings through out the evening.
We set up a display table at the door and everyone can put their
name in the bucket. Well I love to set up the table and make
everything look nice. So I wanted to add a decorative item that
year. So the item I added was a set of "Praying Hands" with a
picture of Jesus and it had changing colors. Very pretty. I had
bought it with this purpose in mind of being one of the drawing
items, but decided to keep it myself...or so I thought.

So as the evening got underway, the music groups arrived and
the people started coming. I noticed a little lady came in the door
and signed the book and came straight over to me. She said, "Do
you know the Kelly Sisters"? I said, "Yes, I am one of them, I am
Robin". She gave me a big hug and told me she listens to our
radio program everyday and it is such a comfort to her. She just
had to come. I hugged her back and told her I pray she enjoys
and is blessed with all she hears tonight. She said "Thank-You"
and went to find a place to sit. So the opening prayer was prayed.
The food was served and the music started right on time. I was
sitting in the back at our display table and that sweet little lady came
back and told me how much she loves those "Praying Hands" on
the table and wanted to know if they were one of the drawing
prizes. I told her no, they were mine, but I thought they were very
pretty to have sitting on the table. She looked a little disappointed,
but said okay and went back to her seat. Well, as I was sitting
there the Good Lord spoke to me..."Give her those "Praying
Hands". I thought yes, that will make her so happy. So a couple
of hours went by and I told my husband and he said he would give
them to her now. He went and gave them to her and I could see her
little face light up. She gave him a big hug and with tears in her
eyes she came to me. She said, "No one has ever done anything
as nice as this for me". Well, needless to say that brought tears
to my eyes. She said it was such a blessing she never dreamed of.
She would treasure them always. So I thanked the Good Lord for
showing me what I could do to bless someone and I know now
why I bought those "Praying Hands".

Well, a few weeks went by and my phone rang. It was that precious
little lady. She called to tell me, "Thank You" so much again for those
"Praying Hands". She said she turns them on every night and it puts
such a peaceful glow in her house, that she can feel Jesus there
with her. Praise you Jesus. What a blessing that was for me to hear
the joy in her little voice. Well, I have since than purchased another
set of those beautiful "Praying Hands" and will give them to anyone
the Good Lord shows me.

Proverbs 18:16
A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence
of the Great.

I thank God everyday for all the many blessings He gives us. And I
pray that I can share and give blessings back to someone else who
is in need.
IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE...AMEN!
