Build up Most Holy Faith


Jude 1:20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Our Christian life is a building which must be reared up with the building blocks. Apostle Paul emphasises that the foundation has already been laid for us by Jesus.

It is then our duty to build on the foundation laid for us. Our faith grows as we lay the bricks of faith layer by layer.

In Building up ...epoikodomeo..gk, meaning ...to build upon, ...to rear up, ...build thereon, our most holy faith enable us to be edified or embolden in our fight of faith.

Faith ...pistis..gk, means ...persuation, ...moral conviction of the truthfulness of God, ...reliance upon Christ for salvation, ...constancy in such profession, ...assurance, ...belief, ...believe, ...faith, ...fidelity.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb 11:1

In other words, faith is reliance on the Word of promise from God which cannot lie or change and Holding on to the truthfulness of God's Word and constancy in such profession.

Is your faith little or great? Is it weak or strong? This depends on you, the ability to grow your faith and put it to work.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17

It is faith and faith alone that pleases God. He only honour faith and faith alone which changes things. By it the elders obtained a good report. Build up your faith

The amount of faith you have is equivalent to the amount of the Word of God you have heard. The more you hear, the more faith grows in your heart.

So that we will be ....
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Col 2:7

This is why Apostle Jude is admonishing us to build up on our most holy faith. That is your response to the Word of God to build on.

Faith must grow or arise in each persons heart sponteneously because Jesus has given us plenty of evidence to believe Him and thus have faith in him and God.

Build up most holy faith and grow thereby. From babe build up to mature your faith in God and the unshakable Word.

Build up most holy faith...
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4:12

Therefore ...
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Eph 4:29

We have a responsibility to build up our faith and that of the body of Christ because this the victory that overcomes even our faith.
