Week 2 Day 1 Refuse to Fear
FEAR CRIPPLES FAITH.
Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me. Nehemiah 6: 13



Fear cripples faith and creates a breach in the spirit for attacks. Peter’s near fatal incidence on his walk to Jesus on the sea demonstrates this clearly. Nehemiah and his colleagues during the construction of the walls of Jerusalem encountered an incredible level of oppositions. One of which involved a strategy to fill the heart of Nehemiah with fear. Fear is a weapon of the enemy to cause the Children of light to stumble. Fear also works against the truth of God’s word. As believers on earth, we must resolve never to fear. One means of dealing with fear in this life is to consistently meditate on God’s promises and assurances for our lives. The book of 1 Timothy 1: 7 lays the groundwork for what is being discussed. It reads, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Meditate on it, declare it boldly when the enemy throws his fiery darts at you. Let it get into your spirit, you shall not die but live to proclaim the glory of God. Nehemiah went into conversation with his God right after this threat. Let us also adopt a similar approach when we are confronted with fear. God bless you.

Dear Father Lord, I thank you for giving me the spirit of power. I decree and declare that by you I run through troops and leap over walls. You are my God: the God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect. It is you who makes my feet like hinds’ feet, giving me stability so that I am able to stand firmly and progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble. I bless you in Jesus Name. Amen.
