I once was under the bondage of sin
so under control of it's will
A servant enslaved without any hope
letting it bid what it called thrill
It will promise a world of pleasure
but won't tell the price it will cost
Once you lower your standard for anything
it's pay will be your lost
No warning is presented when you choose
that road which shines with flair
And the end only leads to more trouble
adding on more of despair
For once it capture the soul within
It takes charge, and blinds your sight
and show you pictures of glamor in disguise
to close out the truth and light
Sin can take you down so low
causing nothing but darkness all around
With no good rewards to offer you
but only to keep you sad and bound
It will never, build you up
no life of joy and real peace
The job it holds presents, only confusion
and when it's over your life will cease
When Jesus entered my life one day
He broke chains of bondage, off of me
and saved my soul from destruction
And making this servant free
It's now under new management
no more enslaved, behind it's bars
He lifted every burden that I did carry
and then cast them all afar
Each day this building is being made
by the owner that's wise and true
So full of love, grace and mercy
that is making this house brand new
Bad news is cheap and easy to get
But good news is hard to find
yes, the bad only last for a moment
then forgotten and pass like time
Now the good news it will last forever
when a life seeks for a new management
which is King Jesus the only life giver
a soul saver if it cries, I repent;
I turned this building over to him
and now he owns every inch of it
For I opened my heart for his entrance
so for heaven, I'd be, made fit
