While in the midst of our troubles
God answers the smallest prayer
Though winds may blow, down here below
he promised that he'll be there

To help us bear our cross each day
not one time we're all alone
He'll walk with thee O' precious tree
for he is still on the throne

He says let not our hearts be troubled
nor even to let it be afraid
He'll send comfort in the darkest hour
aand that way it has been made

O' souls be still and know that he is God
that will help us to make it through
Just a little while as we walk that mile
he will work it out for me and you

His ears are open to our every cry
he's watching over you and me
So rejoice O' hearts and be encouraged
for he always tends to his
