There in the quietness of the night
I heard the words did say
That now the storm is passing over
and our day is on it's way

In that hour His presence was known
coming by to see about me
and my soul said yes, Lord I believe
in all you have for me to see

As the spirit of the Lord spoke to me
saying, the storm is at it's end
and whatever had happend was for a while
and my ship it wiil come in

The voice of a conqueror will be heard
and will say, O' soul it's well
For the King of Glory did visit you
and have good news to tell

O' praise Him for His mighty works
give Glory unto His name
God heeds the cries of a broken heart
while in the pouring rain

You did not once abandon the ship
but, you rode it through
Nor did you count God as being slack
of the promise's he made to you

Though sometimes, tossed and driven
God's grace was always there
He did extend His mercy around the clock
not one place, but everywhere

The humble prayers did get answered
now look up and claim your day
For God can't lie and never will
and His help is on it's way
