Encouragement
Uncompromising Destiny.
Jesus Christ upon his triumphant entry into Jerusalem was met by a throng and as indicated in John 12:12-14, ‘on the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.’
The Jews at that moment in history sought a political leader to liberate them from the Roman control and they saw Jesus to be that King of Israel who shall liberate them. One important lesson we all can learn from the mindset of Jesus was that he refused to be made King of an earthly country whiles he knew he was King of the whole world both spiritual and physical. In other words Jesus Christ refused to accept anything below his call and once he had seen the final picture of his glory after resurrection and the power that was to be entrusted to him, he was able to embrace the cross for us. Jesus refused to compromise with his purpose on earth. What are we compromising here on earth which is preventing us from fulfilling our purpose, the original intent of God for us? Is it that job we are compromising on, or a relationship that is preventing us from serving God effectively, is it gambling? Whatever it is that we are compromising on today, make a decision today to refuse to continue to settle for less, press on with that dream you have, press on with that idea God has placed in your heart, the final picture should be your guide, Jesus should be your focus and strength. Do not relent, refuse to be King of Israel while God wants you to dominate the whole world with your talents and gifts, take a stand today and God shall empower you to fulfill that which he has placed in your heart. Many times we tend to think that our sins are so great that God will not forgive us. No, that is a wrong idea. God will forgive you for your purpose and for his glory to be manifested through you. If God could take a murderer like Moses, cleanse him and use him to deliver the nation of Israel from bandage, he could do the same with you. If God could use the hand of Moses to split open the Red sea, bring out water from a rock, and so many other mighty acts, he could do the same with your hands, commit your hands unto Almighty God, commit your whole life unto God for he cares for you. Paul, the persecutor of the early church, the serial killer was transformed when he encountered Jesus and God used him mightily to impact his generation and also write a major part of the New Testament which has ended up impacting all other generations after. God is prepared to forgive anyone who genuinely repents as Christ has already paid the price on the cross. If you believe in your heart and confess with your lips the Lordship of Christ over your life, like Paul did, he shall strengthen and guide you to fulfill your God given purpose in this life. Refuse to compromise!!!
I want us to pray a prayer Mary prayed when the Angel said to her in Luke 1:31, and, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. In other words, what the Angel was saying is that out of your lowly womb young lady, God has planted a seed and that which has been planted in your womb shall be the savior of the world, out of your womb shall the creator of the universe spring forth, can you imagine the awesomeness. How big is your dream? And Mary as human as many of us are today, responded, ‘How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? What Mary was saying was that how shall my dream be fulfilled seeing that I have no helper, how shall I graduate from college seeing that I have no money, how shall I start that business, seeing that I have no partner, how shall I write the book seeing that I have no publisher, just as we say in our daily lives, do not focus on your limitation, focus on the power of God, focus on what you have, you have Jesus!! How shall these things be, seeing that I know no man? The Angel responded in verse 35, ‘The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.’ What you need is the Holy Spirit to overwhelm you, to inundate your pregnancy, to take over your potential, to overshadow your purpose and when the Holy Spirit takes charge, when he takes the center stage of your life, you shall produce something which is sanctified, something which shall be the praise of the glory of God. Mary responded to the Angel in verse 38, and Mary said, ‘Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.’ And the angel departed from her. What are our confessions today? Are we saying to God, ‘let it be done according to thy word today’, as you pray now ask Father Lord to let his purpose be done according to his word for your life. When Mary said yes, camels rose up in faraway countries to come and present precious gifts to the baby Jesus. When you say yes to your purpose, God shall bring people from near and far to support in your dream, to help in your walk through that jungle, you are not alone, God is much closer to you than you think, just say, Yes Lord!! The most important reason why you are reading this book today is for you to give your life back to the one who gave you purpose and restore yourself back to the one who gives you reason for living. There is a reason for our lives and God is prepared to give you a new meaning, a new life and a new beginning. The question is, are you prepared? When men come back to their purpose, God brings them back to their destinies.
May God continually bless you, may the Holy Spirit overshadow you as you function in your purpose, may he bring the right people at the right time to be a help to you, may the purpose for which God has brought you into this life be manifested in Jesus Name, may God continually move you from glory to glory, grace to grace and victory to victory, I decree that you shall manifest the glory of God in your life all the days of your life in the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN!!
