Puzzled

A 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle can test your patience. Recently I put together a puzzle with a bicycle in the foreground. After completing the perimeter, I thought the next easiest thing to do was to put the bike together. But I could not figure out how the bicycle pieces connected, even after many attempts. So I began working on the background, and over the course of a few days, the puzzle filled-in around the bike. Then putting the bicycle pieces into place was easy.

Sometimes we desperately want a change in our lives, but it seems like nothing new is happening. But what if we kept a steady focus on simply doing the next right thing each day, each hour, each minute? Is it possible that then the change we want will occur, with much less struggle and stress on our part? Or after doing so many good and loving things day after day might we find our life has changed without us even realizing it?

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. –Ecclesiastes 3:1
