Jesus In Deer Form!!

One summer morning several years ago....I was going through
some very hard times.....I was sick and getting sicker but
was not sure what it was. We lived on the farm then and it
was always so nice and peaceful and comforting there.
But that day I was scared....not knowing what was going to
happen. The Doctors wanted to do some more testing and
find out what they could do to fix me. And I guess then I
didn't pray much unless I was in trouble. And I was.

So I called my Mom and she talked to me and told me the
only answer was with Jesus....to Pray and ask Jesus to bring me
peace and comfort. That He is the only one who can fix this.
So after crying and praying with Mom on the phone, I hung up
and went to sit at our kitchen table. Our kitchen overlooked a
big pasture with a pond. In the corner closest to the house
and the main gate was a small grain bin. As I sat there crying
and praying and asking God to help me....I looked up and there
in the pasture right beside that small grain bin lay a beautiful
deer. Well I was stunned that a deer would ever be that close
to the house with the dog right out there and so close to humans.
But I sat there watching it for a very long time and it never moved
or got up but it kept looking into that big picture window right at me.

At that time in my life I didn't understand about the Holy Spirit and
how Jesus sometimes comes in the form of something else. So
I began to get up and walk towards the window knowing that the
deer would surely get up and run away....But it stayed there and
continued to look right at me through that big picture window.
So I began to raise my arms and move back and forth trying to
get this deer to get up and run.....but it stayed right there.
So I sat back down and prayed to Jesus about my problem again.
When I looked up again there was the deer standing and she had
moved closer to the fence toward the house and was staring at me.
Eye to eye.....so I moved quickly to the window knowing that she
will run now. But she stayed.

Well I was very puzzled and wondered just how long she would stare
at me and all at once she began to walk away. And I thought well
I must have scared her a little so she will run now....but she only walked.
As she walked father away from the house she would walk a few steps
and then turn around and look at me again. Then walk a little farther and
turn and look at me again. All the way over to the corn field she would
walk a ways then turn to look at me.

It was then that I remembered what my Mom had just told me. That
Jesus will bring you peace and comfort if I would will just seek Him.
And I felt a peace that I had not felt during what I was going through.
I was not afraid anymore....I felt a warmth come over me and peace...
just peace. As I looked out that window to see if the deer was still there
I saw her standing at the edge of the corn field looking straight at me
she bowed her head once and disappeared into the standing corn.

And I just said Thank You Jesus.....that was you and I know all things
are okay.... He came to me in a form of a Deer to let me know He is
there and with me always....And Oh How I Praise Him and Thank Him
everyday for that. So when things get bad and tough....Seek Jesus
first....pray to Him and ask for His peace and comfort....and He will
hear and He may answer in The Form of a Deer....
