In weakness and in strength, my God is always near.
Though trals in life will come, what have I to fear?
My salvation will come to guide me through the storm!
He is my stronghold and will calm me when I’m forlorn.
Do I fear when hardships rise and put me to the test?
Or do I leave it to the Lord? For He knows what is best.
If I mope and grumble about what is happening in my life.
How can I grow in this fast approaching, unwanted strife?
Could it possibly be a part of my spiritual development?
Should I choose to disagree and make a very fast descent?
No! I will choose to agree and make this a growing time!
And follow Jesus Christ, my Saviour and begin this climb!
