Doctors could not pinpoint the cause of my dizziness. In a job for years where I was treated very well, but still felt as if I wasn't using my best God-given skills and abilities, I had put myself emotionally in a no-win situation. Since I felt I wasn't able to change jobs or careers, each year I waited to hear about a big promotion, and each year came and went with no promotion.

It was an excruciatingly painful time in my life, yet I understand now God was at work, pruning away my false pride, shrinking my ego, and helping me to grow up on the inside. When the day came I accepted the job for what it was, and accepted the fact that I would have to keep working there for a while longer, the dizziness went away.

Today, thankfully, the love of God continues working in me, helping me to overcome my own limitations and self-interests. Do you see Jesus at work in your life, in spite of the obstacles? Or maybe because of them? How is He helping you grow?
