Marriage
I was thinking back when we were getting to know one another, and remembering the anticipation and eagerness when I'd get home from work and rush to my computer to see if there was a note from you...and that warm rush of joy when there was!
It was like receiving a gift that you 'knew' was coming, but there was still that tiny doubt.... until.... there it was! And I know now where they get the term about your 'heart leaping' - for that is how it felt!
I would race through each message, not being able to read the words fast enough, then to read it again and again, savoring your words to me, letting them melt into my heart and then I would rush to answer, to speed my words back to you, sending you a little more of myself.
And now...months later.... that same rush of joy flows through me each morning when I realize anew that we are together...each time I look in your eyes, my heart still leaps...to feel my hand in yours is to feel such peace.... and a thousand times a day, my heart sends a message to God...to thank Him for the gift He has given me in you...to praise Him in wonder for the evidence of His love for us both.
And when I look ahead into the mist of the future, I know that whatever it holds, the love we have will see us through...the joy I feel will fill my heart every morning...and the anticipation of being with you will not grow dim...for our love, like His mercies, is new each day.... and the discovery of this newness, the joy of giving it back to you, makes each day a treasure of love, and it makes me the richest Trish in the world.

This brings to mind that "familiarity breeds contempt." We must rely on the Lord to keep our relationships, both with HIM and with our loved ones, new each day. It is only through His mercies that we can experience that newness. You are so very blessed indeed if you have found that key to daily newness.
Being the die-hard romantic that I am, this article really grabbed my heart! You did it again!
