The Sons of God

1Jn 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:


By the Holy Spirit, saints are born to God. To be part of the household of God you have a duty to perform and a sacred one.

To believe on His name and receive Him for the greater works He wrought on your behalf.

Jesus said ...Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Jn 3:7

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Jn 3:5-6

The Sons ...teknon..gk, meaning ...child ...daughter ...son, of God is born of him and carry his DNA,,a product of the Word in his likeness and image.

As adopted sons ...huiothesia..gk, to carry on His mission assigned in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Jas 1:18

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 Jn 3:2

The sons of God have eternal life as He has life because they have or possess the source of eternal life Jesus Christ who dwell in them.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 1 Jn 5:11-12

As many men and women in the world Jesus Christ died for receive ...lambano..gk, meaning ...hold, ...obtain, ...have, ...receive, Him then

He also gives you the power ...exousia..gk, meaning ...the right, ...privilege, ...authority, ...liberty, ....strength, ...power, to become a son of God.

It is a privilege to be called the son or daughter of the king of kings.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Rom 8:16

The question is ...
Are you a son or daughter of God?

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Rom 8:14

And we have many privileges ...
Jesus says, I ...know my sheep, and am known of mine. The sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. Jn 10:3,14

Rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Lk 10:20

We have to know where we belong and act in keeping to our calling in this office of sons.

Ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh.

For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Heb 12:22-25

Beloved, see that you loose not your place and forfeit your privileges but ...

As ye have always obeyed, ...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Php 2:12

Until we are caught up together in the clouds to be with the Lord, press on to this high calling as the son of God.

And I declare ...
I am born again, I am a son of God and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world, in Jesus name.
