Called to Glory and Virtue


2 Pet 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Jesus called us to himself for worship and fellowship. By His divine power, He has provided for us all things to live the God kind of life.

He has Called ...kaleo..gk, meaning ...to call, ...to invite, ...bid, ...to be named, us to glory and vitrue the end result of living out the call.

A call to you by Jesus must be responded to. It is for a purpose that Jesus has invited or bid you to come. This invitation is to all and sundry just as the Word declares ...

Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles. Rom 9:24

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Cor 1:9

The purpose of God's call is ...
That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. 1 Thes 2:12

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 2 Tim 1:9

He has called us to Glory ...doxa..gk, meaning ...dignity, ...honour, ...praise, ...glory, ...worship,
And ...
He has called us to Virtue ...arete..gk, meaning ...excellence, ...praise, ...virtue, ...valor.

In other words, with dignity, honour and excellence that Jesus has endowed you to show forth that praise and glory to the world.

This glory and virtue is received through the knowledge ...epignosis..gk, meaning ...full, discernment, or acknowledgement, ...of Jesus the Word.

The more we abide in him, glory and virtue is supplied to us by His divine power.

In other words dignity, honour and excellence is supplied to or given to us, in all that pertains to life, ...in our finances, health, home, career, as we live the God kind of life through the knowledge of Him

It is requisite ...
We have to know our position and live in keeping with our calling. The Word says ..
For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. 1 Thes 4:7
As he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 1 Pet 1:15

For ...
Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Pet 2:9

The God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, ...make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Pet 5:!0

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Php 4:8

Beloved, You have been called to glory and virtue. Stay focused for all things are working together for your good.
