Son of Perdition I see you,
Staring into a mirror.
I don't know what you see there,
But see your nature was sinful.
Its like a dark void was in your heart that didn't fail to consume you
I swear somehow its like your soul and spirit were missing
Cause even after you met Him you didn't change in your actions.
Everyday your were with Him,
Witnessing His divinity but you didn't believe Him.
They were calling Him Lord,
And you were calling Him teacher.
From the beginning you refused Him to be the Messiah.
And in a subtle sort of way you thought Him to be a liar.
You felt no shame in stealing from Him to fulfil your desires

I often felt sorry for you but hell you made your decision
You were influenced by Satan but then which one of us isn't
With riches in your mind you denied His perfection
And you sold the creator for the price of a servant

You betrayed Him with a kiss unashamedly ruthless
With a smile on your face saying, "Persecute Jesus."
But it gave you no peace, your reward wasn't worth it
When you realised what you'd done you then tried to return it
But they wouldn't accept it
It was already far too late for you to undo the damage
Your eyes were finally opened when you found he'd be murdered
A sense of remorse filled your heart with a spirit of conviction
Self-condemnation took over instead of accepting your sinning,
And falling into repentance and asking Him for forgiveness
Like many of us you didn't realise His grace is sufficient
After deciding your own judgement you decided to end it

You took a rope and hanged yourself
Upon a tree til you were dead
Your life had come to an end before the one you had betrayed
Safe to say you were the last to die before the law of grace

After seeing you they took you down,
Just before the Sabbath
It wouldn't do to have a corpes within the city's confinement.
That was against the law,
The same reason why Jesus was crucified outside the city's walls
So they threw you off a cliff where fell headlong and there your intestines burst asunder
But somehow everyone who walked by recognised that this was Judas

After the 3rd hour of darkness the Lord cried out, it was finished
And on that day you got your name as the son of perdition
