Omg ppl when r u gonna realise that religion
itself is a load of crap. Any1 who believes in a
fake deity is not thinking logically, I understand
most ppl believe becoz they r brainwashed at an
early age and I feel sorry 4 u and some ppl
believe coz they r afraid of death and want 2 live
on and c their family again but come on ppl lol.
There is not 1 shred of the bible that has been
proven fact apart from a few city names being
correct, it has all IN FACT been disproven
embarrassingly start using ur heads every1 and
not believe in a book written thousands of years
ago by a couple of dudes. Wat a bunch of gullible
tools!!!!

Well yea, anyone believing in a fake deity
wouldn't be thinking logically. Yet anyone
disbelieving a real deity wouldn't be thinking
logically either .
It is true that a lot of people have or may have
been brainwashed in them following certain
religions. That's not the rule though. In fact I
think its a lot harder today to be brainwashed by
religion than it was a few decades or centuries
ago.
We go to school everyday to science classes that
make us doubt everything we believe in. You
have to be really out there to believe in
something that has apparently been
"scientifically disproved." So I don't think its very
likely today with freedom of information,
freedom of religion and school "dis proving"
your religion 5 times a week that a person may
be brainwashed. Its not like people adopt a faith
at 2 years old and are completely established in
it that they can't be moved to a point that no
school teacher (who they see everyday and have
been taught to trust with their lives,) can move
them.
In fact I'd go as far as saying people today have
been and are more likely to be brainwashed by
science.
That would be:
a) There's a scientific answer to everything, (and
if something can't be proven scientifically its not
real)
b) Everything that starts with "It has been
scientifically..." is deemed to be correct, no
further questions
c) Always trust a man in a lab coat
This isn't a new phenomena either. For the
longest time people gladly accepted Aristotle's
law of gravity without question until Galileo
completely disproved it later.
I'm saying without question because had they
questioned it they would've found out that its
nonsense with the same simple test Galileo took
and would've never taught it. They didn't
however, because as is today, they believed if a
scientist says its so, then it must be true. In fact
a number of studies have been done on this.
People are more likely to trust a man in uniform
with their well being, trust the opinion of a man
in an expensive suit and well, believe anything a
scientist says.
The interesting thing about the bible which is
what sets it apart from most if maybe not all
other religions(I don't know, I haven't studied
them all,) is bible prophecy, evidence of fore
knowledge. Challenge me on that and you might
see that these 'couple of dudes' could not make
this stuff up on their own. Unless maybe we're
willing to accept that they had supernatural
insight into the future, but that's unscientific.
I would also challenge you on things that have
been completely disproved, things that are
without a shadow of a doubt wrong. Things that
you can't even explain supernaturally. What are
those? In fact most of those I've heard can be
explained naturally and scientifically except most
of the scientists on Natgeo who explain them
refuse to look into the whole picture of that one
topic they're dis proving, so I challenge you on
that.
And I'm not saying I have answers to everything
either, I'm not too proud to say I don't know. But
saying I don't know doesn't mean I concede that
your view is completely right either, just that its
something to look into.
I could easily take offence with your claim that
we're "a bunch of gullible tools," but what makes
us gullible? That we believe there's more than a
naturalistic answer to everything? That we're
open to at the very least the idea of a deity? That
we've placed our entire world view based on this
deity?
Well I could say the same to you, couldn't I?
You believe most of what a scientist tells you, I
say this because I know you haven't tested every
single theory a scientist told you. I haven't either
but I believe a lot of them, within reason.
You believe there's a naturalistic reason for
everything.
You have placed your entire world view based on
this belief in science. In fact (now I don't know
this,) you may be so stubborn as to refuse to
believe anything outside the metaphorical box of
science.
I'll tell you my friend, the box of religious
theology is big enough to accommodate the box
of science, (we just say there's a creator behind
the creation.) The box of science though, will
never be big enough to accommodate the box of
religion.
Gullible by definition means to be easily cheated
or duped.
You're more susceptible to be duped by a
scientist than I'll ever be, yet in religion I still
question everything.
And I don't mean this to offend you, I mean this
to invoke a question in your mind.
What suggests you're not just as gullible as me?
