Radical Restoration (Amos 9:11)

“On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old.”

This is a prophecy that was given to Amos more than 700 years before the birth of Jesus. His prophecies were mostly warnings to the people of God, but this one was a promise of restoration. God was promising to bring the people back into oneness with each other and with Him, and this did happen, although only for a short space of time. However, God is speaking to His people today and we can receive this Word for our nation, our families and for ourselves. God is in the restoration business!

The Tabernacle of David was symbolic of worship. King David was a worshiper and He was the founder of 24/7 worship! He was a man who sought God as the one most important thing (Psalm 27:4). Around 1000 BC, he had the Ark of the Covenant brought up to Jerusalem and placed in a tabernacle. He appointed 288 prophetic singers and 4,000 musicians to minister before the Lord day and night (1 Chronicles 15:1-17:27). Although the tabernacle was replaced by a temple, this Davidic order of worship was re-instituted by seven subsequent leaders in the history of Israel and Judah. Each time this 24/7 order of worship was reintroduced, spiritual breakthrough, deliverance and military victory followed.

I believe the Lord is promising breakthrough and restoration to whoever reads and receives this message. Perhaps it is your financial situation, or difficulties in your place of work. Maybe you need the restoration of a relationship or family situation, or you may have been coping with a discouraging health situation and a bad report from your doctor. Maybe you have been contending for a move of God in your church or personal ministry, or crying out for your nation. The Lord is placing a key in your hands today, as He says to you “I am raising up the tabernacle of David”. God is calling you into a new level of worship, and He is promising to meet you there. As you begin to pour out your love upon the feet of Jesus, the beautiful One who is worthy of it all, there is release and restoration in store! There is the breakthrough you have been hoping for. Maybe you are reading this and saying to yourself that you have already been praying and worshiping and have not seen the breakthrough; it is time to intensify! This radical breakthrough will begin to happen as you radically change what you are already doing. Heaven is mobilizing breakthrough angels. You are stepping into a season of acceleration. People and situations are changing like the sands of the sea. God is moving out road blocks which were placed in your way. Your victory is coming! As you worship, things are shifting and shaking and heaven is moving on your behalf, hallelujah!

The temple worship and everything the people of God held sacred had been completely destroyed by the Assyrian armies and they never thought it could be restored again. However, although they had lost all hope of restoration God was promising them a miracle. He was promising to build them up again and make everything as good as new. God was calling His people back into a lifestyle of continuous worship, and He is doing the same today. He is calling us to the kind of worship that brings heaven to earth, and opens the way for a breakthrough. God is not looking for people who are good musicians or singers. He is looking for hearts that are humble and yielded to Him, and connected to His through worship. He is looking for “true worshipers” (John 4:23).

Dear friend, lift up your voice and begin to worship the King of kings. He is the God of the impossible, the One who parted the Red Sea for His people, and provided manna in the desert for 40 years. He is the same Lord who resurrected Lazarus and brought down the wall of Jericho. He is the Name above every name, the King of kings, and there is nothing He cannot do. There is a breakthrough for you today as you seek the Lord and offer Him your worship. Your seasons are changing and your worship is shifting the atmosphere! He is restoring that which you thought was dead, destroyed, gone. There is a fire of revival beginning to burn, a new faith rising up. God is drawing you into the burning furnace of His heart. Things will never be the same again, because He is making all things new, hallelujah. All glory and honor to the King!

I feel the Lord speaking specifically to someone who feels that their relationship with Him is over because of something that happened in the recent past. The blood of Jesus has spoken on your behalf. He sees your sincere repentance. You are forgiven. You are loved! Enter into the presence of God once more and receive the help of the Holy Spirit to live in victory and in peace. God is raising up the tabernacle of David once more. He is restoring you to worship. He is restoring you to your first love. He is giving you a new song because you were meant to worship and dance before His throne!

The Holy Spirit is also restoring people whose worship has been silenced by the powers of darkness. It has happened so gradually that even you did not see it happening but the Lord is breaking you free today. He is releasing your voice to shout His praises and to raise His name up to the skies! Lift up your voice and call on the name of Jesus! He is stirring up the ancient wells. He is raising up the fallen tent. Your worship is rising to the heavens and will never be silenced again! Expect your miracle dear friend. The Lord has already decreed victory for you, and this is what you will see as you lift up your song to the King of kings, in Jesus’ mighty name, amen!
