Mark 1:35 "Before day break the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray."
Jesus understood the importance of his relationship with his father. He made time to be with God, despite of all that was going on. The preaching, the huge crowds, the miracles, the needs, his family, and his 12 disciples. But before he did anything else as he rose up every morning, he spent time with God. It was in those times where he was strengthen. It was in those times where he was empowered. It was in those times where his focus sharpened.
What about you? Is God the first in your mind as the day begins? Do you make time for God? How is your relationship with God today? The truth is, our relationship with God will determine how our life will look and be. If we are not making any time for God, we are walking without him. And it will take effect in every area of our lives. Our minds, words, actions, and even our self image. The closer we are to God, the more God will shape our lives. The more like Christ we become. When we look at the life of Jesus and all that he did, he was able to, why? Because he lived his life walking daily with his father. Our relationship with God, activates God's power, brings blessings, multiples anointing, increases wisdom, sharpens faith, love, focus, and character. Increases joy, passion, humility, awareness. There is so much more! All this happens when we are close to God. He works in our lives so we can become better. What God does is for the better.
But of coarse, developing a strong relationship with God takes work. It's not something you can master. It's not a hobby as it is a lifestyle. Building your relationship with God is everything. It's more important than anything, even your job. And yes, even you're family. Was it not God who gave you a family? Was it not God who gave you all that you have in your life today? Was it not God who created you? Indeed, its all because of him. So living for God shouldn't be a forced or whatever thing. Instead, our living for God should say, "God, thank you for everything. I choose to live for you because you are the reason I'm here and I live."
