Grief

An empty ache still deep inside,
my heart still aches my eyes still cry.
A longing deeper then I ever knew,
a wish that this pain was not true.
Darkness swallows with untold grief,
my soul cries out for sweet relief.
My pain is something I can not compare,
My life so full of hollow despair.
Faith is something I try to keep...
I pray for a vision in my sleep...
My angels face I long to see,
his kisses wet upon my cheek.
His giggles to fill my ears so sweet;
but for now it is not meant to be.
Darkness returns to fade the sun
heart ache and pain continue to come.
Please Lord guide me and show me the way
help me to look toward the promised day....
