I long to smell his sweetness
so pure and innocent.
To stroke his velvety cheek
to touch his silken hair.
I long to hear his voice
bubbling with childlike glee.
To look over and to see
him smiling at me.
I long to hear his name
pass from others lips.
To know that they remember,
that they will never forget.
I long to hold him in my arms
and snuggle him close to me.
To surround him with my love
and hug him endlessly.
I long to have the chance
if only one last time....
But instead I sit and weep
and hurt so deep in side....
