St. Matthew 4:10 says Then saith Jesus unto him, get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

When one first attends church service, it becomes apparent that there are noticeably more women than men. Prayer service, bible college and many other church functions are predominantly women. I became aware of this early in my journey years ago. Why is it that the church is comprised of mainly women and very little men? No offense intended because man is born of a woman. I then recognized that Islam is dominated by men. I guessed the reason why most men chose Islam is because they feel that Islam comes from a position of strength and Christianity comes from a position of weakness.

Pride for the most part, keeps a man from God. Although some men may feel that Christianity comes from a position of weakness, it really comes from a position of humility. Man must first humble and submit himself before he can serve God.

Men who are humble realize that they sinned against a holy God, recognize that they need to be saved and ask for forgiveness of their sins. This is a reason I believe, why real men serve Jesus Christ. It is this humility that keeps a man on his knees before God. This same humility that causes a man to know that he can’t live without Jesus.

A real man serves Jesus Christ. He doesn’t make excuses, he makes examples. How can a man in his right mind refuse to serve a good God? Man was created to serve Jesus Christ, not the other way around. The devil targets the man who knows his Lord is God, so he seeks to remove that man from the covenant of God.

Not to change the subject, but as young men, many of us were told that we must join the military and serve our country. We were told that it is patriotic and that is what real men do. I have nothing against men who served in the armed forces. I was part of a Para-military organization. However, I do have something against the deception behind the organization.

I believe that joining the military is one of the worst decisions you can make because you are not being told what you are really fighting for. You are told that you are fighting to protect freedom and spread democracy abroad yet your own freedoms and liberties are violated and taken away from you in your own country.

So in reality, men are fighting over lies and dying in vain. My heart goes out to these young men and women who are dying for a corrupt and broken system of evil, that thrives off debt, death and deception. Their lives are far too valuable to die for such nonsense. So I say instead of serving the military, serve Jesus Christ because that brings real and lasting honor.


When a man serves Christ, he is serving the truth since Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus gives you a peace that passes all understanding. When you serve him, you are fighting the good fight of faith. It is good because the battle is already won. All we have to do is walk in Christ.


The unsaved man in all his ways, is harsh and brutish but the spiritual man is meek and lowly in heart. As men, much of what we learned growing up was incomplete until we came into the knowledge of Christ. Furthermore, I am not shamed to admit that I am still learning how to be a man who serves the Lord.

In conclusion, real men serve Jesus Christ. It is not something that happens overnight, it is a life that you have to yield to daily. The devil does not want men to serve God that is why he is after the male seed. I believe the enemy DOES NOT WANT MAN TO EXPOSE HIM TO THE MASSES. HIS GREATEST TRICK IS DECIEVING MAN INTO THINKING HE DOES NOT EXIST.

Service through Jesus Christ will bless us beyond what we could ask or think. Let us be men that serves the Lord Jesus Christ. In spirit, because God is a spirit. In truth, because Jesus Christ is the truth. It is the blessed life that God has ordained for man since Adam and Eve. Amen.
