Little boy's prayer -- "Dear God, help me not to say sic 'em to my
forgetter."

May I make a suggestion? Thanks -- I will. Now that Thanks-
giving is over and we've given our thanks for all of God's
blessings, let's not be Israelites and quickly forget all that God has
done for us in the past.

It's so easy to forget, especially when things start getting rough and
we begin asking all over again. We tend to forget that God has
always been there for us and He isn't going anywhere. We are the
ones who tend to move away from Him.

Listen to these words from Deut. 4:9 (nlt), "But watch out! Be
very careful never to forget what you have seen the Lord do for
you. Do not let these things escape from your mind as long as you
live. And be sure to pass them on to your children and
grandchildren." The history of the Israelites shows that they had a
tendency to pay little attention to these words. Let's vow to break
the cycle and start remembering.
