Thank You, Father,
for giving me the courage
to say the things that are hard to say
and the right Bible verses to support
the things I say.
Forgive my straight forwardness
that can provoke some.
I'm a friend to many and family to some
and I can't just sit here
passing my days
going to dialysis, waiting
for my time to come to an end
hearing what the Spirit tells me
as I read Your Word.
If I didn't say anything
what kind of friend or family member would I be?
Would I be a loving friend or family member
if I sat idle and quiet?
Isn't it said:
Whoever spares the rod hates his son,
but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him?
(Proverbs 13: 24)
And we're all looking for some kind of healing, Father,
Many of us suffer from various ailments.
One thing I've learned from experience is:
Whoever despises the Word brings destruction on himself,
but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded.
(Proverbs 13: 13)
I'm doing the best of my ability to teach what I learn.
The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life,
that one may turn away from the snares of death.
(Proverbs 13:14)
I know my work is not perfect.
I will not let that stop me from trying each day.
Thank You for picking me up
every time others and mainly I
knock myself down.
If it is Your will,
perfect the things in me
and my works
that I may be presentable
to stand before You.
I ask this in Jesus' name,
Amen.
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come.
