Proverbs 31 Woman

Jesus,
I long for You-
For You to fill me with You,
So I will not feel so abandoned,
Alone,
And afraid.
I seek You-
In so many ways,
Why can't I have the peace and comfort
You promise?
What am I doing wrong?
What is wrong with me?
I give my love to others,
And they betray me.
They lie to me,
Cheat on me,
Take advantage of me,
Disrespect me,
And make fun of me.
It's difficult to keep
Getting up,
Dusting myself off,
And having hope that
Someday-
Somehow-
Things will be different.
I listen with such an unfulfilled
Desire in my heart
Of others having someone
With whom they walk through life.
Even when times are difficult,
They stay by each others' sides;
They do not stray from You
By turning to someone else or
Something else to fill their needs.
What is so wrong with me that
I can't attract someone like this into my life?
Someone who is
Trustworthy,
Kind,
Committed,
And possesses integrity.
Someone with whom I am
Mentally,
Physically,
And spiritually compatible?
Not someone who finds me replaceable
Or expects me to compromise who and what I am to fit the mold of being
Someone I'm not.
I'm tired of the games.
Tired of the lies.
I pray You will open my eyes,
My heart,
And my spirit to someone
Who truly will cherish
Your gift of a
Proverbs 31 woman.
