I've been thinking today, about all the Lord has done for me and my family. My mind goes back, to the days that I did not think I could make it through. Physically, Mentally, Emotionally and Financially. As I have matured in Christ, I can see His faithfulness throughout all of my life. Those times that is hard, stressful, life changing moments. He has been there.

I have seen times of being made fun of. I have had times where the bank was sending foreclosure letters. I have been threatened to be taken to court for standing up for God's principles. Moments when I thought I was losing it, from hormonal episodes, or dealing with anxiety. I have moments, when we did not know if my Mother would make it through the night. I have had my children tell me things that would bring me to my knees. I watched my husband lose his Mother and Father within 4 months of each other. I watch my Sister deal with losing her home after a tornado. I could go on and on.

During each and every event in my life, it was hard, I’ve been to gut wrenching, deep dark places, but for everything, I have went through, God has shown me His glorious works and how it is truly all about Him. He is my safe place. Each time I run to him crying or sobbing. Sometimes, I could do nothing but groan and wail. He always lets me know He is there, keeping me safe from this old world. He makes a way, where there seems to be no way. When I was younger, I looked at my circumstances. In my maturity, I look at God. I have finally started accepting His promises for me. The Bible tells me, He will take care of me and all my needs. He loves my family even more than I do.

I have found a new rest in believing all those wonderful promises are for me. I do not dwell on my problems, I dwell on Him. I'm only human, so I get concerned about many things, but I bring my thoughts back to Christ every time now. I refuse to linger on what I cannot do about most things anyway. I urge you to look in the scriptures for those promises. Believe they are for you. Confess them out of your mouth. When worry tries to set in, remember, you cannot worry and trust God at the same time. Bring those thoughts into captivity and praise your way through. You cannot sing praises and worry either.

Take a look at your life and see if you can find the blessings in the sorrow or in the hard times. I'm sure you will.
