Have you ever noticed that people don’t want to be alone? Not the “I need some alone time” meaning. We all have busy lives, with so much going on that we crave some time to just get away, and sometimes that does mean alone. The type I’m talking about is a lifestyle of having someone everyday with you. People get married or have room mates. Friends hang out together and people are drawn to one another.
This got me to thinking about having a support team, when there are hard times in your life. God is the first and most important friend you will ever have and His position should always remain first, in everything we do. Then family and close friends should be our next priority in life. Have you ever noticed when you’re having a bad day and someone encourages you or compliments you, how that can change your whole day? Just as being rude, mean or sarcastic can do the same.
We were created for fellowship with our heavenly Father. We were created to praise Him. That is our purpose in life. He has also given us fellowship with each other. What a treasure to have a friend who supports us in all we do. Encouraging, lifting us up, listening to us and loving us through life. I am blessed to have many of those people in my life. Sometimes it family, sometimes its friends and sometimes it is complete strangers that I know, God put in my path to bless me.
I want to be that person to as many people as I can. It takes so little to brighten someone’s day. How easy to just have some good positive words and a smile for others? If you sense God telling you to bless a person, be sure to do that. The devil is not going to tell you to. When that person is laid on your heart, seek out a way to bless them.
The first place I run, when I need someone really bad, is to the arms of Jesus. It is also, so sweet to have a support group of people I know will pray with me in my darkest hours. People who will come, just to hold you when you need it. A lot of times just the presence of a friend is all we need. I believe Jesus extends His love to us, through people. I want to be sure that I allow God to use me.

3 John 1:8
So we ourselves should support them so that we can be their partners as they teach the truth.
Romans 5:10
10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
