When you have surpassed the many of storms
boldly took on the winds and rain
Endured each one with the grace of God
for you knew it was not in vain

This I did perceive as I entered my hearts door
so to put, my raincoat away
For the rain had stopped not even one drop
and I anticipated to enjoy my day

But suddenly I found myself, knee deep in mud
so I got a shovel to dig me out
I refused to give in, to the new rain problems
they only came to make me doubt

Instead I will hold onto the word of God
that came to encourage my soul
And I won't give into those puddles of mud
for each answer my God does hold

You see the sky up above has smiled on me
the storms had been moved away
Now comes the Son to shine his brightness
and this what my heart does say

No more darkness, to overshadow my head
for he came by to see about me
And although I'm facing a few other troubles
his word came to set me free

So it's not for me to worry whatever may come
or even question in why they came
For in whatever the reason that it had to play
it was still only to help me to gain

So good-by afflictions it was in God's plan
and I can say I gave my best
For I have stood and endured each trial it was
and say to you, so long O' test

For though everything came, up against me
do understand, things has it's time
So muddy problems know this, I got good news
I believe God, now I'll rest my mind
