Did you not know when a great warrior falls
that his words will still live on
For his voice of reason made a difference
even long after they had gone
For they stood in the gap to fight for others
broke down the barriers of race and creed
For they knew that all men had to be equal
in order for to harvest good seeds

One may say, I can walk beside you in battle
and with you fall on the fields of blood
So why can't this be shown right here and now
instead of throwing filled hands of mud
Can you see with your hearts and take note of this
does a bullet pick and choose it's aim
Does it set aside the race of color
surly a child can understand this game

Can you foresee a child of a different culture
abanonded on the streets without food or drink
Do I stop and say, his color is not like mine
but, why should I care what others may think
But, oh what if God is checking this out
just to see what you and I would do
And suppose it was him who asked this of us
will it still matter to me and you

O' Nation of people open your hearts and minds
and fight this kind of hate together as one
You see, war has no color, and death no code
for on any field, it could be your daughter or son
