From AM 2 PM……by Fellyx Abrahams Obi

It was at the top of the day when men hustled around for their daily pursuit of mammon, many in frantic chase and many more soaked in sweat from their tiring labour to eke out a living on earth.Someone else stood atop a mount that overlooked the earth. He wore a white robe glowing with much brilliance. He held a "shofar"( ie ram’s horn) in his right arm.He watched men who seemingly were oblivious of the fact that they needed to give glory to God but somehow they couldn’t.They seemed too enmeshed in their daily race for money, fame and self-fulfillment.The travails and encumberances of life on earth has so made men to neglect a simple rule….Praising God from AM to PM is not just a precept to be observed, it’s a sure secret for living a victorious life on earth. So the white-robed man lifted his shofar to his mouth, and the sound reverberated on earth and all men stood still. With a deep baritonic voice he questioned humanity as he asked:

"Who is like unto my God and my Maker?

Who else can ever be like Him?

Who was it that came before Him?

Who did He consult to create man?

There was great silence and all men stood still. None could offer an answer and none could quiz him either. The silence was benumbing .None shuffled as his figure riveted all men and with rapt attention they listened to this white-robed man. Now his tone was stronger as he continued:

With words he crafted the heavens

With words He fashioned the earth

His hands sculptured the mountains

The valleys nestled in His bosom

And the oceans he scooped intoHis palms His palms

Where were the trees at the beginning?

Who hid the shrubs, the herbs and all flora in the ground?

Who made the meadows lush with green?

Who gave the sun a smile and the moon her grace?

Who taught the plant shoots how to pierce the hard soil?

Who gave the birds the free flight lessons?

Who trained the antelopes to gallop?

From who did the lion learn its ferocity?

Did not the eagle learn how to soar from someone?

Did the ants learn to mould hilltops from you all?

Did the bees learn to network their hives from you men?

Did the spider learn to spin its silky webs from you men?

Learn from the birds in the sky as they chirp

Learn from the trees as they clap and sway

Learn from the cricket as it does its symphony

Why not look at the sea as it rolls out waves of praise?

Know you not that you’re created to give God praise?

From AM to PM, from dusk to dawn

From sunrise to sunset, from morn’ to even’

From dew-time to even-time

From east to west, through north and south

His praise on my lips shall be

And His splendid glory ,will I declare to all

The entire human race joined this heavenly host to offer praise to God and thus fulfilled a declaration made long ago that from the rising of the sun to its going down, praise shall continually rise up from earth to the creator. For everything that has breath must praise the LORD of heaven and earth!

Cheers and shalom,

Felix Abrahams Obi

Well thought out. You need o remember to put a space after a period. Otherwise, it was a grand effort. I loved the lector, (for lack of a better term,) standing over the crowd Telling about God, asking the crowd to consider God.
