Life is like being in a sparing match
with each round a blow is thrown
An upper-cup here, and below the belt there
trying to take one off their throne

In round one, I came out fighting
facing life, my opponet in the ring
When the first blow came, it rocked me some
oh boy" did it have some sting

Plans were made, and all in full bloom
running smooth around the clock
The all of a sudden, things turned around
for the troubles begin to knock

Here we are life" in round two;
come on and show me what you got
I won't let a few ripples in the waters stop me
so go ahead and put me on the spot

In round three and four, I will floor you
in five and six, I'll take you out
In seven and eight, the problem will be licked
O' life you won't win this bout

Now ring number ten, is right on time
and round ten is at it's end
I say to you O' life, I've had a lot of practice
and with self-esteem I can't help but win

Some things at times will catch us off guard
and show up when least expect, it
But that's the time to really hold on
and show life, you're fine and fit
