There is this horse we have rode so long
going the same way, day end and day out
Haven't we yet realized, the horse is lame
and on his trail it has no route

Now think of the times it had thrown us
tripping us every way but right
Causing one to stumble, when faced with problems
and moved our faith clear out of sight

This horse it has no vision,
and it sure is not going nowhere
For doubt will blind and stop your progress
and it won't let you get there

To the place that God wants us to go
it matters not rather young or old
It has nothing to do, how fast you run
keep believing, and keep your hold

Of all the dreams and goals that you desire
don't let that lame horse keep you down
Get off that back, of doubt and unbelief
and hit the trail, that has better ground

Then after we have put that horse to sleep
we will awake to a brighter day
After we unloaded that heavy baggage
and gave God the reins, to lead the way
