OH YOSEMITE, YOSEMITE

Oh Yosemite, Yosemite so heavenly grand
You are the results of God’s mighty hand
Your silvery peaks embrace the blue sky
Where only your mighty birds can fly.

Your trees of redwood grow so tall
Nature’s inhabitants include the bear
Songbirds of many colors give call
All of nature humbly gives it’s prayer.

Your trees of pine are many fill the air
Lakes of melted snow, fresh water so blue
Park rangers working to keep your care
Fires past, time for you to heal and renew.

Heaven’s spectacular your waterfalls are
God’s hand carved mountains reign supreme
Beauty and grandeur, the woodland star
Nature’s best, found only in a dream.

Wonders so many, awesome and amazing
Of granite carved mountains God you adore
All of God’s creation Him embracing
Here there is no rich, there is no poor.

Oh Yosemite, Yosemite millions of years you stand
Wild life of all kinds roam protected and free
Kept so pristine for all of us to see first hand
So much to enjoy, so much to experience and see.

The paths many for us to come closer
Adorned with many fragrances, all kinds
Fields of colorful flowers and sweet clover
Pay attention to the beware of bear signs.

Visitors cameras in hand for memories long
Climbers with courage come to embrace you
Climbing so high listening to the wind’s song
Up they go dangerously high in sky blue.

Campers filling your campsites reserved
You are a valley for angels from high above
For our children we hope you stay preserved
With dignity and respect we give you our love.
