A Friend



A friend is someone who loves you,
No matter what you’ve done.
They stick closer than a brother,
When their trust you have won.

A friend is someone who stands by you,
When everyone else has fled.
They stay right by your side,
No matter what others have said.

A friend is someone who knows you,
And still loves you anyway.
They overlook your faults,
And don’t let them get in the way.

A friend is someone who cares,
And sticks with you to the end.
No greater love has any man,
Than to lay down his life for his friend.

A friend is someone who will die for you,
And that’s just what Jesus did.
He gave His life on Calvary,
And paid the price He bid.
