Excerpts From The Past

When we look back at the past didn’t God always make a way for us? Didn’t He always bring us through? There is an entity flowing around in the earth that uses the past to keep us from going forth in the future. He that is the accuser of the brethren is none other than Lucifer, Satan, the Devil himself. He tries to keep man bound in the past to keep us out of our future. How is he able to do this?

Romans 14:16 let not then you good be evil spoken of

We are to take heed against giving offence. Let us not therefore judge one another anymore; but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. We have a habit of deciding what one need rather than allowing God to handle those things that is out of our territory. Then we argue about the wrong things; spiritual things are not argumentative. How can we the people of God keep up so much contention among ourselves? We argue and debate things that is out of our league. We dispute each other about the Word of God when the Word stands on its own. There are disputes about who is right and who is wrong concerning the Word, the Spirit, and the Father. Contend for the faith but not to tear down any one’s belief. Preach the Word and if the Word doesn’t get the job done then God is not God. God is the author of peace, the giver of love, and the God of all righteousness. Who can tell what God will do? Some of us has already arraigned our brethren and accused and found them guilty. We put people in hell and forget we too once had a past.

The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calls for strokes; they can die in their mess. We have to be careful even of the words we speak to one another. The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment. Keep listening to the voice of the Devil and saying that God told us this or that. Do it line up with the Word? Even a fool when he holds his peace is counted to be wise and he that shuts his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. If we are wise and have knowledge we are slow to speak and slow to answer when we are spoken to. A man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Avoid idle words. A person’s past is just what it is; the past. Who is the accuser of one’s past? Satan!

Past is the former, preceding, foregoing, or earlier part of our lives. It is our history. It’s what has happened in our lives up to this present minute. It’s the weapons that have been formed against us before we knew how to keep it from prospering against us. The past could be the time that God allowed us to go through something for our learning. We must learn to recognize demons if we are to have the power to cast them out. Experience is a teacher. God is an expert, the master of all Creation; who can say what is of God or not? What is our expectancy? As I was writing this at this point I had a phone call from a sister in the Lord. She told me that when she was out yesterday another sister in the Lord she saw begin to tell her about my situation with my husband and all that he was doing to me out in the street. What do I have to do with that, she said. If your sister is going through pray for her or call her. God had me working this already. When we prayed together a few days ago for her son’s deliverance the Devil set out to steal that victory. She passed the test and kept her miracle. We must learn to walk through adversity that we can walk in the way of good men and keep the path of the righteous. God say for us to love but we speak in tongues and have no power. Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you. Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Gossip is forbidden; we are not talebearers. Most times we fabricate things with our mouth to produce things we know nothing about. We build a mountain where exist only a dot. We fail to be factual because we love doing things in the dark. Psalm 50:20 thou sittest and speakest against thy brother, thou slanderest thy own mother’s son. We are so busy belching out with our mouths that we have swords in our lips rather than in our spirit man. We don’t really possess the Spirit of God for we have yet to hear what He has to say and apply it to our lives. We are hypocrites with our mouths. We destroy our neighbor with our mouth but through knowledge of God’s Word we can be delivered. Being rash with our mouth causes us to utter thing out of our heart and it comes before God. The words we speak outside of the will of God bring a curse upon us. I Peter 4:15 but let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer or as a busybody in other men’s matters. As fast as Peter was in speaking first he realized we can murder with our mouths if we don’t watch what we say about one another. The mouth can be a firing gun that takes the life out of someone. We can steal the purpose of and plan of God from a person’s life with our tongue. But beware we aren’t coming against them but God. We will steal God’s vision from our neighbor and run with it; killing it before it comes to fruition. This is evil because of the intent to deceive. We are busy about nothing that edifies God so therefore we don’t have a life.

Excerpts from the past are Satan’s M. O. Watch that demon. There are exceptions to his rule that we don’t realize. The good we do is never mentioned. People can make our lives a living hell, why would we want to go there? We must remember now our Creator. Never stand in counsel alone, take with you two or three witnesses and let the truth be established. Be a witness of Jesus Christ our perfect example of Holiness and Sanctification. No matter what the Chief Priests spoke of the Word to Him he spoke the Word back or it is written. When others tried to catch him up in mess He brought attention to them or spoke nothing. When Satan spoke to Him He told Satan what was written in the Word. Flesh can’t answer God; only submit to Him. We must become witnesses of Jesus Christ mimicking His love for God, His unselfishness, His love for man, His sacrifice, His testimony, His crucifixion, and his faith in God.

We must grow in the grace of God that takes us from strength to strength. We must stay before God that we be prepared for the attack of the enemy. We must be that shining light that God can use at any time. Lay aside all malice, all guile, hypocrisies, envy, and evil speaking. Do you want to be that newborn baby? Yes. Desire the sincere milk of the Word that will nourish us and cause us to grow in Christ that we come in perfection before a Holy God. It’s time to come out of the gutter where nothing grows. Remove the stink of garbage from our noses and allow the fresh flowing water of God to bring increase in our lives. Satan is the accuser of the brethren; just don’t let him use us to be the one to bring the accusation. We are not exempt from his attack but we can be exempt from his use. We are a city that sits on a hill and full of salt to keep us. We shall not raise a false report or put our hand to the plow with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. Keep far away from a false matter and slay not the innocent and righteous for God will not justify the wicked. We don’t want to die and our name perishes with sin; but righteousness.
