Fulfilling the Will of God

What are we doing? Why are we lagging when it comes to God’s Will? Jesus died but He fulfilled the Will of the Father. Now we have to do what Jesus did while He was in the earth.

To fulfill means to complete, accomplish, achieve, or effect. What are we expected to fulfill? Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of old. He fulfilled the Gospel. Every aspect of His life had been previously prophesied and fulfilled by Him. He completed the work at the Cross at Calvary; it was finished. We have a bad habit today of not finishing anything. Responsibility to God is almost a byword. Jesus was crucified for you and me that we might receive power over the flesh. Jesus executed God’s plan for man all the way to completion. He consummated the work thereby giving us the right to walk in perfection. He accomplished for us the restoration of a godly relationship. He realized just how weak man is in the flesh; for He too had to perform as a man in the earth. At the conclusion of the whole matter we find that He achieved the fulfillment of the work of the Holy Ghost. Because He went all the way to take away the sin of the world we are privileged to have the Holy Ghost walk with us. Our worship should be free, all of man’s ails should be under the blood.

Romans 3:23-26 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness; that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus.

What are we saying? Jesus dies to buy us back from sin. He repurchased our faith back that we no longer be bound by sin. We have the option of being holy, sanctified, and set free. We are singled out from every other being individually in the earth. We are the elect of God having been ransomed. The redemption that is in Christ Jesus is; a redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament under the covenant of the law into which God had entered with mankind at the creation. A covenant is a promise or declaration written or verbal, which binds the person who makes it either in honor, in conscience, or in law to do or forbear; a certain specified act. God promised to make a way for his people. He would deliver us out of our afflictions. He would heal our bodies and deliver us from a backsliding state. We deserved death, but death in sin would increase Satan’s arsenal. We however broke the covenant by our own volition. In breaking the covenant we became defaulters and forfeited life, liberty, happiness, and every blessing. In a spiritual view we became slaves to our sin that kept us captive.

We were hopelessly insolvent and our liberation could be effected; only by someone paying the necessary ransom for us. This task was assumed by the Son of God who is represented throughout the Old Testament as the Redeemer of the human race. By his incarnation the Son of God took our place on the Cross. Christ whole life has redemptive, ransoming value, particularly his innocent suffering and death. He paid the price it took to bring God’s own possession, his chosen generation back to Him. All those that is lost have no reason to stay lost, for Jesus once and for all reclaimed man.

Produce, we are saved to reproduce more of us. If we are saved then someone should see our lives and desire to be saved too. We are to produce love, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost and righteousness as God’s people. St. John 14:26 but the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost whom the Father will send in my name; He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to you remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Jesus said He would go away and will come to us again. Well He did just what He said; the Comforter came and a Comforter He is. Jesus made us clean through the Word when we hear and obey. He told us as the Father has loved me, so have I loved you and continue in His love. We are to love like God loves that through that love men would be saved. God wants his joy to continue in us that we too may produce or make Him joyful. When we obey God and keep His Commandments we abide in His love. Greater love hath no man than Jesus that laid His life down for us. We must assemble and construct our life and design in Christ that we have that same relationship with the Father.

Cause, for what cause do we serve God? The cause is what will be effective in the believer’s life. What is the occasion for which we worship? Is our praise an individual one or of another. We are only to worship in Spirit and Truth. Our cause or agent for service determine what conditions we will serve in. If we are angry we don’t want to serve God or man; but can we walk past that? No matter the circumstances in our life we are to be content. Catastrophes happens; disasters, calamities, misery, tragedy and devastation also but we are to keep walking and trusting. No matter the situation we still have to convey the message of Jesus Christ that has been endowed to us. We must act with the right motives and intents. Know the cause for which we serve God.

Make sure our calling is sure. Isaiah we would be called to faith and repentance and would call a nation that we know not and nations that don’t know us would run to us that God would be glorified. We were created to the praise of God’s glory. Praise is a call that we have to make sure. No one can praise God for us like we can. We also have a call by Jesus Christ to be Saints. We are inexcusable for the judgment of God is according to truth against all that sin. What are we making happen for God and His people? God will render to us according to our deeds. We must make sure our calling is sure; for many things we will go through because of the decision we have made to stand for God. The hardness of our heart only treasures up wrath and will make others run away from God. What goes on in the heart of man determines what they will do outwardly. Salvation is an inside job. Let’s make the best of our salvation.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. There are those that don’t believe but their unbelief don’t make the faith of God of none effect. Every man is justified of themselves but righteousness is of God and God will be the judge of that righteousness. We must begin to change our attitudes; where we don’t want to sin. To repent is to change attitudes towards God that we begin to walk in an altered conduct. Godly sorrow leads to repentance rather than flows from it. It is the first condition of forgiveness. But it is not possible to bring this change upon one’s own self and the act is repeatedly said to be stimulated by the initiative of God Himself. We must begin to turn from sin to righteousness. God said that he would blot our cloud of transgressions and sins and remember them no more. Now on the spiritual side of life we are to seek the Lord while He may be found and call upon Him while He is near. Jesus fulfilled His Call making all things complete and bringing our salvation to pass. Fulfill the Law of Christ, the Word of God and the Kingdom.
